SAC P.I.E. INFO
As a private Christian school, we fully rely on each family’s participation and assistance to help with all school activities, such as special events, sporting events, field trips, and in the classroom. These are called Partners In Education hours, or P.I.E hours, and there are many possibilities and areas in which you can fulfill your PIE hours. A lengthy list will regularly be available for opportunities to partner with Salem Academy. Parent volunteers are so important to the success of our school!
Just a reminder:
1. Single-parent families need to fulfill 15 hours during the school year.
2. Two-parent families need to fulfill 30 hours during the school year.
3.You may “buy out” your P.I.E time with either;
a) $150 fee (single-parent families)
b) $300 fee (two-parent families)
c) “Auction Buy-Out” - you may purchase a new item (with receipt showing a minimum value of $200)
and then donate to be auctioned off at the Annual Auction. This proved an invaluable resource. The
Auction Committee is very grateful for all the donations!
You will be responsible for turning in PIE hours by submitting volunteer’s name, student’s name, # of hours worked and a brief description of service. These can come via a written note or emailed directly to Jennifer Outslay, who will be tracking the hours accumulated. The Development Office is located on the Main Campus in the Administration Building.
