ABOUT ISP

A Brief Description of Salem Academy Christian (SAC) and the International Student Program (ISP)

Salem Academy Christian is a private school which was founded in 1945 and is located on three Campuses in Salem, Oregon. Salem is the capitol of Oregon, with a population of around 200,000. The ISP is located on the Main Campus which includes 4 classroom buildings, a gymnasium, a library; Baseball, Football & Track fields, and the Administration Building. SAC is accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (www.boisestate.edu/naas) and the Association of Christian Schools International (www.acsi.org). The High School for the 2006-2007 year has a total of 250 students. The ISP currently (2007-2008) has 42 International students from the following countries: Korea - 15, Japan - 8, Taiwan - 2, Vietnam - 11, China - 5, and Tonga - 1.

Graduates from SAC have been accepted at universities such as University of Oregon, Oregon State University, Portland State University, Western Oregon University, Washington State University, Biola University, Azusa University, Stanford, West Point, etc. We are a member of the Oregon Schools Activities Association (OSAA) and compete against other 2A schools (similar size schools) in Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Field & Track, Softball and Baseball.
