Doodle for Scholarships

Deadline March 22

Doodle 4 Google is an annual program inviting K-12 students in the U.S. to use their artistic talents to think big and redesign our homepage logo for millions to see.

This year, students are asked to exercise their creative imaginations around the theme, “My Best Day Ever…” One talented student artist will see their artwork appear on the Google homepage, receive a $30,000 college scholarship, and a $50,000 technology grant for their school along with some other cool prizes! Download entry form and view complete rules. The contest ends on March 22, 2013.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

Your senior year is here and as you start the process of picking a college, another step will be looking at ways to help pay for it! This page will provide a list of available scholarships with immediate deadlines, as well as scholarship and student loan website links. Check back often for new scholarship opportunities. Forms for many of these can be found in the Scholarship File in the High School office. This site below allows a family to submit a free application on-line for Federal Student Aid.

NOTE: This page contains links to external, non-SAC sites. Salem Academy is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such sites.

Is this "Scholarship Search" a scam?

The Federal Trade Commission cautions students to look for these tell-tale lines:

  • “A scholarship is guaranteed or your money back”
  • “You can’t get this information anywhere else”
  • “I just need your credit card or bank account number to hold this scholarship”
  • “We’ll do all the work”
  • “The scholarship will cost some money”
  • “You’ve been selected by a ‘national foundation’ to receive a scholarship”
  • “You’re a finalist” in a contest you never entered
