Your senior year is here and as you start the process of picking a college, another step will be looking at ways to help pay for it! This page will provide a list of available scholarships with immediate deadlines, as well as scholarship and student loan website links. Check back often for new scholarship opportunities. Forms for many of these can be found in the Scholarship File outside the High School office. This site below allows a family to submit a free application on-line for Federal Student Aid.

Chemeketa Scholars

Chemeketa Scholars receive a full tuition scholarship for up to two years. The scholarship is guaranteed to applicants who meet the following criteria:

  • Attend high school in Chemeketa’s district or reside within Chemeketa's district
  • Earn a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 or better (as of first semester/quarter grades of final year in high school)
  • Enroll full-time (12-18 credits) at Chemeketa the summer or fall that immediately follows high school graduation

Is this "Scholarship Search" a scam?

The Federal Trade Commission cautions students to look for these tell-tale lines:

  • “A scholarship is guaranteed or your money back”
  • “You can’t get this information anywhere else”
  • “I just need your credit card or bank account number to hold this scholarship”
  • “We’ll do all the work”
  • “The scholarship will cost some money”
  • “You’ve been selected by a ‘national foundation’ to receive a scholarship”
  • “You’re a finalist” in a contest you never entered

Reduced Tuition Rate

The WESTERN UNDERGRADUATE EXCHANGE (WUE) is a program of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). Students who are residents of WICHE states may enroll at participating two- and four-year college programs outside of their home state at a reduced tuition rate. WICHE states include: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming.
